Mechanic

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and operational tasks with all natural gas process related equipment, providing maintenance on the following: Cryogenic Processing, Reciprocating Compressors, Amine Treating Systems, Glycol Dehydration. Perform Skilled Mechanical duties involving operations, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing natural gas engines, compressors, generators and other power driven equipment. Properly maintain and complete maintenance records, service reports, and other required documents as required. Overhaul, repair and adjust engines, compressors, pumps, motors. Inspect engines, compressors and mechanical equipment: diagnose problems and determine extent of necessary repairs; perform repairs and routine preventative maintenance. Detailed awareness of compressor components including: lubrication systems, shutdown systems, loading and unloading valves, pistons, valves and electrical systems. Maintain compressor logs, diaries, oil sampling and inventories of parts, equipment, lube oils and coolants. General upkeep of facilities and equipment including: engines/compressors, company vehicle and shop.

Required Qualifications

Hold a minimum total of three (3) years’ experience as a Plant Mechanic. Obtain a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the natural gas industry or related field. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrate the ability to work under limited supervision. Have basic knowledge of Plant operations and Cryo Plant Mechanics. Have a valid State Operators Driving License and excellent driving record, be willing to work after hours and on-call rotations. Possess adequate communication skills. Ability to carry and lift items that can weigh 50lbs or more. Team orientated and the ability to work well with others. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and initiative skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Have previous experience in the mechanical and/or maintenance industry, and experience with gas-plant operations, gas compression, pumps, and/or liquid or gas gathering processes. Vocational Tech certificates or equipment specific training preferred.
