Vaquero Midstream Secures Equity Commitment From Yorktown Energy Partners to Provide Full Suite of Midstream Services

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – August 21, 2014 – Vaquero Midstream, LLC (Vaquero) today announced that it has received a substantial equity commitment from New York-based private investment firm Yorktown Energy Partners, LLC. Vaquero offers customers a full suite of integrated crude oil and natural gas midstream services including gathering, treating, processing, compression, liquids handling and transmission. The company is pursuing opportunities in emerging resource plays across North America, leveraging the management team’s multifaceted midstream experience and building on strong relationships with oil and gas producers.

The Vaquero management team is led by three founding partners who have a long and successful history working together. The team includes Chief Executive Officer and President Gary E. Conway; Founding Principal Bryant H. Patton; and Founding Principal William W. Davis.

Prior to Vaquero, Mr. Conway served as Vice President of Engineering and Operations at TEAK Midstream where he managed all aspects of engineering and operations, helping steer the company from the initial acquisition stage to full execution of assets in the Eagle Ford shale. Mr. Conway has also served in leadership roles with Petrohawk/Hawk Field Services, Energy Transfer Partners and Crosstex Energy. Mr. Patton has served as an investor, principal or advisor to more than 40 upstream and midstream companies across North America. He is the founder and president of Brycap Investments, Inc. and has worked in the past with TEAK Midstream and Crosstex Energy. Mr. Davis recently retired from Crosstex Energy, where he helped guide the company’s growth strategy since 2001, first as Chief Financial Officer and then as Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure, the company executed more than $3 billion of growth projects.
